    The personal data processing described in this Privacy Policy is carried out by CELINE SA, a public limited company with capital of €2,802,576.00, registered on the Paris Trade and Companies Register under the number 572 034 361. The global headquarter is located 16 rue Vivienne, 75002 PARIS. (hereinafter "CELINE" publishing the website and thus holding the status of "Data Controller").

    However, when you make a purchase in a store outside of France, the CELINE store where you place your orders and/or make your purchases is solely responsible for the processing carried out for the purposes of managing transactions and billing associated with your purchases.

    1.2 Who is concerned by this personal data processing? 

    Any CELINE customer or prospect, including any person:

    • using CELINE's website(s) (www.celine.com);
    • subscribed to the newsletter;
    • subscribed to CELINE's social media profiles;
    • in-store and e-commerce customers;
    • in-store and e-commerce prospect.

    In accordance with applicable laws, we do not target or collect data from children who have not reached the legal age for digital consent in their country.

     

    2. Processing, legal basis & puroposes

    As part of its operations, CELINE processes your personal data for various purposes based on appropriate legal grounds (such as consent, the performance of a contract, legitimate interests, or legal obligations).

    Once these purposes have been achieved and the applicable retention periods have expired, the data is anonymized.

    CELINE places tracking tools on your device when you browse CELINE websites (cookies) and emails (pixels) in order to:

    • Enhance your online experience by personalizing content display according to your browsing preferences;

    • Deliver targeted offers on CELINE websites or other partner platforms.

    Login and Registration via Third-Party Services

    By registering or logging into your CELINE customer account via one of your social media accounts (e.g., Google, Facebook, Apple), you consent to the sharing of your profile information with CELINE. The type of information shared depends on the settings you have selected on your social media account and the privacy policy applied by that social media, accessible from its website and/or mobile application.

    Virtual Try-On Experience

    When you access a virtual try-on session on the CELINE website, your real-time image is processed by our provider's virtual try-on technology solely for the purpose of enabling you to virtually try on selected CELINE products. Your real-time image remains on the device you are using to access the virtual try-on session and is not collected, retained, or stored by CELINE or its provider.

    To maintain and improve service quality, CELINE processes your data to conduct satisfaction surveys, market research, and analyses to better understand customer expectations.

    Fraud Prevention and Payment Incident Management

    As part of online fraud prevention, information regarding your order and the device used to place it (such as the operating system, device location, use of a proxy, etc.) is collected automatically and used to analyze your transactions for fraud detection and payment default prevention. This information may be transmitted to our payment service provider and any third party authorized by law solely for the purpose of verifying your identity, the validity of the order, the payment method used, and the intended delivery.

     

    You may object at any time according to the procedures specified in the Cookie Policy. However, if you refuse our use of cookies for transaction security purposes, your order cannot be validated automatically and will be subject to manual review. Proof of identity may be requested to validate your order.

    CELINE boutiques are equipped with video surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of individuals (clients and staff) and property, as well as to prevent malicious acts, theft, and fraud.

    In the event of pre-litigation or litigation proceedings, or any other dispute, CELINE may process your data to establish, exercise, or defend its legal rights.

    If you contact an advisor by phone, the conversation may be recorded to ensure service quality. You will be informed by the message broadcast during your wait.

    3. Data processed

    As Data Controller, CELINE may process the following personal data:

    • Identification data (e.g., vlast name, first name, date of birth, nationality, etc.);

    • Data relating to your relationship with CELINE (e.g., your purchase history, your complaints, etc.);

    • Contact and communication data (e.g., postal address, phone number, email address, social media handles, preferred language, etc.);

    • Transactional data (e.g., items selected, delivery and billing addresses, payment method details, etc.);

    • Connection and technical data (e.g., IP address, device type, browsing history);

    • Location data (e.g., place of residence, selected country, etc.).

    Data fields that are strictly necessary for CELINE to fulfill the purposes described above are marked with an asterisk. If you do not provide this information, CELINE will not be able to process your request.

     

    4. Recipients of your personal data

    Your personal data is processed by CELINE. It will not be transferred or made accessible to any third party, subject to:

    (i) CELINE’s affiliates;

    (ii) CELINE’s subcontractors and service providers, and;

    (iii) any restructuring of CELINE, including total or partial sale of assets, merger, acquisition, spin-off, and more generally any reorganization operation to ensure service continuity.

    Your personal data is accessible to authorized personnel acting on behalf of CELINE in CELINE stores and entities with whom you interact, as well as to the customer relations and commercial animation teams located in France or in CELINE entities abroad.

    Through them, subject to your consent, you may receive information about CELINE's offers, news, and events in France and abroad.

     

    5. Transfer of your data outside the European Union

    Your personal data is transferred to CELINE stores, CELINE entities, and service providers located outside the European Economic Area, in countries whose data protection laws differ from those applicable within the European Economic Area.

    These transfers are made to respond to your requests and to ensure the same level of service in all stores with which you may interact.

    They are carried out with appropriate safeguards to ensure a sufficient level of protection for privacy and fundamental rights, including the signing of standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission.

     

    6. Exercising your rights

    You have the right to access your personal data, as well as to request the rectification or deletion of data that proves to be inaccurate.

    If applicable, you must ensure that you provide CELINE with updates or changes to information concerning you, including your postal and/or email address, to enable CELINE to ship your orders to the correct address and to contact you regarding them if necessary.

    RIGHT TO ERASURE: You may request the deletion of your personal data. Please note: In the context of certain processing activities, such as those based on legal obligations or legitimate interests, CELINE may be required to deny your erasure requests.

    RIGHT TO OBJECT AND RIGHT TO RESTRICTION: You may object to the processing of your personal data or request the restriction of such processing, except where the processing is necessary for the management of ongoing services.

    RIGHT TO WITHDRAW CONSENT: Where the processing of your data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

    RIGHT TO DATA PORTABILITY: You may also exercise your right to data portability (i.e., to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to CELINE directly based on consent or a contract concluded with CELINE, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format) which are processed by automated means.

    POST-MORTEM DIRECTIVES: You have the right to define instructions regarding the retention, deletion, and communication of your personal data after your death, and to modify these directives at any time.

    These rights may be exercised directly with CELINE according to the terms set out in the contact section “Contact Us”. CELINE may ask you to prove your identity by any means.
